4.1.4 Training Calendar-East

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

CANCELLATION of a class must be made a minimum of three (3) business days prior to the class to be eligible for a full refund.

Absolutely no refunds or transfers will be made without notice prior to the beginning of the class – notification can be made by email or phone call/voice mail. (Though voice mails and emails may not be read/heard until after the class – the time and date stamp will verify the notification)

Emergency circumstances (i.e. death in family, illness, car problems, etc.):
**The training registrar will have final approval**
>A refund will be made only if the notification is 24 hours prior to the beginning of the class
>If notification is less than 24 hours – a one-time transfer will be made – there will not be a refund of money

SUBSTITUTIONS (one person replacing another) may be made. A substitution can be made at any time (even the day of the class – with the understanding that their certificate may have to be mailed if the certificates are made ahead of time), but the substitute must know the name of the person that they are replacing.

IF A REFUND IS DUE, it will be made in the manner of original payment – if the payment was online, the refund will be to the card used for the payment – if the payment was by check, cash, or money order, the refund will be made by check (only after original check clears)

CLASS CANCELLATION:
If a class is cancelled due to lack of participation or instructor emergency – registrants will be notified by email and/or by phone. The registrant will be given a choice of a refund, certificate, or class transfer. If the registrant is not available and there is no response by the end of the business day of the notification or they are indecisive as to what class they would like to transfer to, a refund will automatically be made.

FREE CLASS POLICY:
Registration for free classes is limited to no more than four participants per child care site. If you register for a free training we ask that you give the courtesy of cancelling your registration so that someone else may attend. If you do not cancel and the class is full, there will be empty spaces which could have been attended by someone else. You will receive a confirmation via email once you register for a free class.

El Día de los Niños

El Día de los Niños – a Celebration of ALL Children, April 19, 2012

As tough economic times continue to put a strain on families and the child care services they use in Georgia, a group of concerned citizens led by Quality Care for Children and Georgia First Lady, Sandra Deal, is hoping a major fundraising event in April will bring more money and awareness to what has become an urgent and growing problem this year.

Why Quality Child Care is Key

By Pam Tatum

Georgia has long endured the poor educational achievements that result from a failure to invest in high-quality early care and education for children. The economy is taking its toll on a child care system that needs to be thoroughly revamped for the sake of children, families and even the state’s economic future.
