STATE-APPROVED (ADM, ECE & SAC) TRAININGS & NETWORKING

In addition to the online resources, the GAQCC offers monthly “Director to Director” (D2D) support meetings in Atlanta, Athens, Cartersville, Rockdale County and Savannah. Our most recent initiative, “Teacher’s Institute of Learning” (TIL) is a second cohort model that delivers quarterly trainings for child care teaching staff of D2D program participants for a tiered level of support. Both meeting forums provide two hour state-approved credit on titles covering critical and carefully selected topics for industry leaders. The broad list of 15 trainings include: program evaluation tools, managing work-life balance, marketing your program, and motivating your staff for success and reduced turnover. In addition to camaraderie, coffee and conversation, attendees receive an array of in depth print resources directly aligned to the topic delivered for added support and a return on investment of time. Many of those resources are included in the web portal so members unable to attend trainings have immediate access to support.

The online site offers access to a suite of business and administrative resources as well as exclusive negotiated discounts on supplies, equipment, and food from vendors including Kaplan Early Learning, Discount School Supply, Cheney Brothers, ProSolutions Training, and First Book. In one quarter alone, a GAQCC member saved more than $6,050 on educational supplies and food orders. What Other Members are Saying

I am excited that we have access to all of the resources that the Georgia Alliance for Quality Child Care provides. My directors spoke very highly of all aspects and I am happy to become a member so that we can continue to provide the very best for our staff and families.
— Owner, Kids ‘R’ Kids #23
Having started at a new school with a staff literally double what I had before AND with tremendous tenure, I was feeling a bit uneasy about supervising and managing this team of early childhood educators. The session today could not have been timed more appropriately. I walked away with pages of notes, people to network with, websites and books to research and great ideas!
— Assistant Director at Dunwoody Prep
I just purchased and have truly enjoyed reading The Visionary Director and Solutions for Early Childhood Directors; books you shared with us at the July Directors’ Meeting. Though a veteran Director of 25 plus years I found them to be quite informative with new insight on everyday challenges you sometimes get use to handling the same way. I always look forward to the monthly meetings to share and network with so many other exceptional directors. Much thanks to you and Georgia Alliance for all you provide.
— Owner/Director of A Child’s Campus
I wanted to take the opportunity to let you know how valuable my membership in the Georgia Alliance has been to me professionally. The D2D meetings are a meaningful support to me as a director of a small half day preschool. This year our enrollment has nearly doubled from where it was a few years ago and I attribute that in part to the resources, support and encouragement I’ve received from you, the Alliance and other directors in our group. In addition, the many resources available on the website are a helpful tool for me as a director – from articles on “hot topics” that I can share with parents, to sample handbooks and other management tools.
