Strengthening Families

Helping Georgia Families Thrive By Building Parenting Skills

Raising children is a huge responsibility that isn’t always easy. We all experience challenges and stresses from time to time that makes parenting difficult. Strengthening Families helps you better understand your strengths and offers additional skills and strategies to help you parent more effectively, enabling your whole family to thrive.

Strengthening Families, a research-informed approach and framework built around Five Protective Factors by the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP), has proven to increase family strengths, reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect, and promote optimal child development so families can be happy and safe.

Georgia’s children need strong, healthy families who can provide for their physical, social and emotional, and development needs. It’s why Quality Care for Children is providing parents with the Five Protective Factors information and tools to hone your skills below as well as monthly parenting tips and articles through our Georgia Parents Power mobile messages.
