Training Title: Literacy in the Classroom: Preschool Edition (ELL Webinar)

Description: Come join us for a fun and interactive training session focused on enhancing literacy skills for preschool children. Participants will learn how to use storybooks to inspire play and build early literacy skills in preschoolers. They will explore strategies to connect literacy with creativity, language development, and classroom routines. This webinar is perfect for anyone interested in supporting language growth in young children and earning two (2) annual Early Language and Literacy (ELL) training clock hours.

Time: 6:00PM - 8:00PM

Cost: $10 per person + Eventbrite fees

Location: Zoom. You will receive an email 24-48 hours before the session containing the Zoom link and handouts. It is your responsibility to bring all required handouts to the session.

Important Information: Full participation is required during this video conference training. You receive credit only if your participation can be verified for the entire training. You must have your camera on and alert us to any issues in the chat and fully and consistently participate in Chat, Discussion, Activities & Breakout Rooms for the entire training. Join the session within 15 minutes of the start time to receive credit. Leaving more than 15 minutes early will disqualify you from credit. For attendance purposes, please provide your full name and your county of residence. If your participation cannot be verified, a trainer will send you a message through chat. If we get no response, you will be placed in the waiting room. Once in the waiting room, you must contact trainers through the chat to return to the training. If you miss more than 15 minutes of training, you will not receive credit for the class. Due to a new state policy, participants may not monitor children during the training sessions. This is to ensure everyone’s safety and full engagement. Staff who attend professional development training while performing classroom duties will not receive credit.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: If you cannot attend, cancellation is required by contacting melissa.ross@qccga.org at least 48 hours before the training starts. Failure to cancel within this time frame or not attending the training will result in the attendee being marked as a No Show. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
