2025 Provider Pulse Check

In March 2025, Quality Care for Children (QCC) invited all licensed child care programs in Georgia, including centers and family child care homes, to participate in our annual provider survey to better understand industry concerns and needs. A total of 501 child care providers responded, representing 105 of Georgia’s 159 counties.

The survey data paints a clear picture: Georgia's child care ecosystem is experiencing intersecting challenges that, if left unaddressed, threaten the stability of care for thousands of families. Yet even amidst these challenges, there are small but meaningful signs of progress. Increasing enrollment in many programs indicates that families are returning to child care, and providers, despite the strain, are finding ways to adapt and move forward.

Thank you to all the providers who participated. At QCC, we are honored to stand beside you—to listen, to support, and to advocate for the resources you need to help every child reach their potential.

For more than 40 years, Quality Care for Children's mission has been to ensure that Georgia’s infants and young children are nurtured and educated so that every child can reach their full potential by helping:

- child care programs provide nutritious meals and educational care to young children so they are ready for success in school,

- parents access quality child care so that they can attend college or succeed in the workplace.
