Presidential debate dives into topics that impact Georgia families

Our President and CEO Ellyn Cochran highlighted the financial challenges families face with child care costs in Georgia, which range from $7,000 to $11,000 annually, in a recent WXIA-TV 11Alive segment.

"The Department of Health and Human Services recommends that families should not pay more than 7% of their income for child care. With costs like $11,000, this is almost unattainable for many Georgia families," explained Ellyn. She also emphasized the need for government support to ease this burden, especially as inflation and funding cuts impact both providers and families.
