Boost and PAACT Partner to Help Families
Quality Care for Children and PAACT are partnering to ensure that more infants and toddlers have access to high-quality child care programs. The PAACT Scholarship is powered by Quality Care for Children’s Boost: Parent Child Success child care scholarship program. The program ensures infants and young children (ages birth – three years) receive high quality early care and learning that prepares them for success in school. Paying for high-quality child care can be difficult or impossible for many working families. Families pay no more than 10% of their household income on child care. The PAACT scholarship powered by Boost pays for the rest.

Parents participating in Boost PCS:
Perform better at work when they have consistent, quality child care for their kids, making them more likely to earn raises and promotions.
Can do other things with the money they save on child care expenses: create savings, pay for medical expenses, buy a car, reduce credit card debt, etc.
Parent Eligibility:
Parent (Child) must live in the City of Atlanta (Family's home address must feeds into the Atlanta Public School System). If you're unsure if you live in one of the clusters, click here.
The family unit's income must be at or below 85% of the state median income (SMI) upon start of PCS.
Parent does not receive CAPS.
Parent must agree to enroll their child in a child care program that is Quality Rated.
Parent must agree to pay 10% of their average gross weekly income towards weekly childcare fees.
Child Eligibility:
Child must be age 0 through 3 years-old and cannot be age-eligible to participate in Georgia Pre-K (4 years old).
Child must live in the City of Atlanta (Family's home address must feeds into the Atlanta Public School System).
Once a scholarship is awarded, child must attend a Quality Rated child care program (1, 2, or 3 stars). Children who are four-years-old and eligible to enroll into a state-funded Georgia Pre-K program must enroll in Georgia Pre-K.
PCS is a needs-based program. If you think you may be eligible for PCS, please complete this application. Note: PCS is not a government program, and is not an entitlement program. It is privately funded and participation in the program is voluntary. Further, eligibility for PCS does not guarantee enrollment into the program, as both space and funding are limited.
Application Process
After your online application is submitted and reviewed, you will receive an email within 5 business days regarding your initial eligibility determination and next steps.
You will be required to upload eligibility documents to your application. See documentation list here.
If needed, we can assist you in finding a qualified childcare provider through 877-ALL-GA-KIDS (877-255-4254).
If approved, we will work with you and the chosen provider to finalize childcare and payment arrangements.
Once all necessary documents are received, you will be all set to start your childcare scholarship and enroll your child in childcare.
Sensitive Questions
This application is straight-forward in nature, and contains questions on parent/guardian demographics, household and child information, education, and income and other benefits. Questions are asked for program qualification, program improvement, and expansion. In addition, some of the questions asked may be considered sensitive, and are asked in an effort to understand areas of need that we may be able to assist you with through referrals.
Confidentiality
The information that you provide in this application will be used for QCC purposes only. Your identifying information will not be shared or sold by QCC for profit or gain. Further, except where required by law or with expressed consent from you, we agree not to use your identifying information for any purpose not directly connected with the administration of services or referrals provided by PCS. Further, all non-identifying information will be collected for statistical analysis, reporting, and grant expansion.
